ANN OREM, CLARKE-HOOK CORPORATION & BRICKYARD

Ann Orem is the Founder of Brickyard and the Managing Director of Clarke-Hook Corporation.

Brickyard is a community-focused coworking initiative that provides communal, collaborative workspaces and fosters the growth of our local entrepreneurs and innovators.

Clarke-Hook Corporation is commercial development firm and real estate brokerage with a portfolio of over 700,000 SF of commercial space.

Both Clarke-Hook & Brickyard aim to create dynamic spaces that respond and adapt to the changing nature of work, and to positively impact the communities they serve.

When Ann launched Brickyard in 2016, she never imagined how successful it would be and how quickly. In two years, Brickyard has expanded its Loudoun space three times to accommodate its ever-growing community of like-minded, successful professionals.  In 2019, Brickyard will open new locations in Woodbridge and Chantilly, as well as expand its Loudoun location to a second building.

Ann is an alumna of Paul VI High School and Villanova University.  Ann remains committed to supporting her alma mater through hosting networking events and attending career guidance events.

Ann is a Licensed Real Estate Salesperson and serves on the NAIOP Developing Leaders Committee,

The Dulles Regional Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, and the Paul VI Catholic High School Board of Trustees.

Washington Business Journal recognized Brickyard as the “Top Coworking Space” and Clarke-Hook Corporation the “Top Family-Owned Business” in 2017.

Loudoun County Department of Economic Development awarded Brickyard the “Signatures of Loudoun Design Excellence Award” in 2017 and the title of “Top Small Business” 2016.

Ann and her husband Ken enjoy raising their 3 children - Maura (5), Luke (5), and Charlie (4) - in Vienna along with their Husky - Brady. As the fourth-generation of Clarke-Hook, she hopes to see her children carry on the legacy into the fifth-generation!
